When Jesus knew his life was coming to a very difficult end he didn't run from the suffering. In fact, he said,
"Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, `Father, save me from this hour'? But this is the very reason I came! Father, bring glory to your name."When you are in a time of suffering or carrying a burden of grief, is your first prayer that God would take it away? Or is your first prayer that God would bring glory to His name?
Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying, "I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again."
Father, bring glory to your name today even if it mean a little discomfort.
